My First Tennis Lessons - The Extraordinary Voyages Series — For Ages 3-5
Emma and the Magic Rainbow - (Book 0)
This book is the "Parent Workbook", which describes all the Fundamentals and Tennis strokes that will be taught in the series.
My First Tennis Lessons, is a set of 9 soft cover booklets take children on adventures with Emma, the main character in the stories. The children will be guided to perform a total of 32 animal rescue missions. Each mission requires learning a tennis stroke which they will be performing with ease because it is all a part of the story.
Le Petit Tennis (LPT) is the brainchild of former ATP and WTA tennis pros, Jean Philippe and Sybile Fleurian. With their two daughters in mind, they founded Le Petit Tennis in 2001 with the goal of teaching tennis to very young children. They crafted the curriculum with sports psychologists, child development specialists and tennis trainers from the French Tennis Federation.
LPT is a visual story program that helps children ages 3-8 discover tennis through a series of engaging stories while traveling across countries and cultures. LPT uses adventure stories in tennis lessons to encourage children to play with imagination while becoming more intense in the drills. The stories, images and role play components allow for better communication with children and maximize their attention span and focus.
Instructional Training Package for Parents - LPT also offers a comprehensive instructional training video and manual for parents to learn all the tips and techniques to successfully teach tennis to their child using the LPT story booklet series. See the Le Petit Sports website for more information.
LPT programs are taught in over 20 countries through subsidiaries, licensees and partnerships. The programs can be found in sports/tennis clubs, international resorts/hotels, parks/recreation centers, primary schools and childcare centers. National tennis associations are now using or endorsing the system or some of its features to reach young children through the interactive stories. Large non-profit and non-governmental organizations use the program’s powerful messages to promote universal core values to underserved children.
What Parents Say about Le Petit Tennis
“I was amazed to see my daughter so focused during her Le Petit Tennis lesson. I had to pull her away to take her home. She talked about the fun animal stories and games she played.” – Rafika H. from Boca Raton, FL
“My child loves playing tennis! After receiving the My First Tennis Kit, he played non-stop with his racquet and the inflatable My First Tennis ball against the wall. He also slept with his racquet for a whole week!” – Cecile F. from Rennes, France
“I need another ball right away! My child has been playing with her ball and racquet all the time but a spike popped the inflatable ball. Since she has not been able to play, she has been crying and asking for another ball.” – Monica Q. from Sao Paolo, Brazil
“With the First Tennis Lessons Booklet series, my husband has gotten more involved in teaching my 3-1/2 year old son to play tennis. It proved to be a helpful tool for him to communicate better and in a fun way with our child.” Yael B. from Tel Aviv, Israel
